Berfin Altinisik obtained a master’s degree in law from Vrije Universiteit Brussel(cum laude). Being passionate about human rights, she focused on international and European law.

During her studies, she completed several internships at law firms and human rights and international humanitarian law organisations. In addition, she participated with the VUB team in the Frits Kalshoven Competition for International Humanitarian Law, receiving the prize for ‘best pleader’.

Berfin Altinisik joined Van Steenbrugge Advocaten in January 2021.
