Leen de Ruck

Junior associate in criminal law

From a humane standpoint, Leen de Ruck will represent your case to reach a just solution. Under the guidance of Johan Heymans, she is building her career as a human rights lawyer.

Leen de Ruck obtained her Master of Laws in 2020 where she focused mainly on international law and human rights. During her studies, she was therefore part of the first generation of 'Legal Clinic' students who worked with VSAdvocaten on various human rights files.

After her studies, she joined the Ghent Bar for two years and was trained in various fields of law, but became most interested in criminal law.

Because of her fondness for international law and human rights, Leen completed an internship at UNITAR CIFAL Flanders in 2022.

After her internship at the United Nations, Leen started at VSAdvocaten in 2023.
