With tact, insight and a sharp moral compass, Quinten De Keersmaecker is building a career as a criminal and human rights lawyer, under the wings of Walter Van Steenbrugge.
Quinten De Keersmaecker graduated with a master’s degree in law from KU Leuven in 2016 (magna cum laude). He then pursued a Master of Laws (LL.M.) at the University of California, Berkeley. His academic achievements there were crowned with a place on the Dean’s List, and his social commitment with a certificate in Public Interest & Social Justice.
Quinten started his career as a lawyer at the international firm Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton in Brussels. There he focused on competition law (national and European proceedings on cartels, abuse of dominance and merger control). Quinten also acted regularly pro bono on cases involving international criminal law, human rights and climate law.
An ardent defender of a more just society, Quinten joined the criminal practice gropu of VS Advocaten in 2022. He draws on broad legal knowledge and international experience to assist each client (both individuals and companies) with full dedication.
