Louise Everarts

Ms. Everarts obtained her Master’s degree in Law from KU Leuven (2022) and completed her studies with an LL.M. in European Law at the College of Europe (2023), both with distinction. Driven by a strong sense of justice and a continuous thirst for knowledge, she is building a career as a criminal defense lawyer and human rights advocate under the mentorship of Mr. Theyskens and Mr. Heymans.

Her passion for criminal law and human rights took shape and deepened during her studies, both within and outside the academic context. She participated in the ‘VVN Model United Nations Conference’ and the ‘European Law Moot Court Competition’. Additionally, she gained practical experience through internships at various law firms and public institutions, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2024) and the Permanent Representation of Belgium to the European Union (2025).

With this background, Ms. Everarts joined the criminal department of VS Advocaten in October 2025. With a human approach, professional integrity, and unwavering dedication, she strives to make a real difference for each client – in both Dutch and French.
