Insolvency law

Given the consistently fairly high number of bankruptcies in Belgium every year, a company may well have to get to grips with insolvency law sooner or later – either as a creditor in relation to a bankrupt customer or supplier, for example, or because the company itself is experiencing financial problems.

Moreover, insolvency law is changing all the time, at both national and European level.

The VSA Business Unit monitors these developments closely, and has special expertise and experience in various areas including:
  • bankruptcies
  • judicial reorganisations (Law on Continuity of Enterprises - WCO)
  • collective debt settlement procedures
